The three-step loop

Everything SchoolWhool does sits in one sequence, and each step is deliberate.

  1. Find

    A feed of every role in the catalogue, ranked against your own skills and title, with what is new since your last visit flagged. Browsing the catalogue itself is free and needs no account.

  2. Prepare

    Run a review on a role for a fit assessment, suggested résumé edits and a cover-letter draft. You approve edits one at a time, and your original file is kept unchanged.

  3. Apply and track

    Every role links out to the employer's own posting. You apply there, with the materials you reviewed, then move the application through your tracker.

Where the roles come from

SchoolWhool's catalogue is crawled from 285 companies' own career boards through the public APIs of Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Workable and Recruitee. There is no HTML scraping and no aggregator anywhere in the chain.

That sourcing has a consequence worth stating: a role its board stops returning is marked closed rather than left in your feed, every listing carries a first-seen date from the first complete read of that board, and every role links out to the company's own posting. You apply on their site — SchoolWhool never receives your application.

What keeps the AI honest

Four checks run on every review's output before any suggestion reaches you.

  • Every edit must quote your résuméA suggested edit has to quote an exact, unique passage of the file you uploaded. If the quoted original is not found verbatim, or is found twice, the edit is discarded before you ever see it — which removes the whole class of edits that invent a new bullet point.
  • Invented figures are strippedA replacement may not introduce a number that was not already in the passage it replaces. Percentages, headcounts, latency and cost figures that appeared from nowhere are dropped mechanically, not by asking the model nicely.
  • No overlapping rewritesIf two suggestions touch the same sentence, applying both would produce a sentence neither proposed. The overlap is dropped, so an accepted edit means what it said it meant.
  • Your original is never rewrittenThe file you uploaded stays as you uploaded it. You approve edits one at a time, and changing your profile details invalidates an earlier approval so a stale review cannot follow new facts.

What SchoolWhool is not

  • Not an ATS simulator. The match number beside a role, and the fit assessment an AI review returns, are SchoolWhool's own reading of the posting against your profile. Neither is an employer ATS score, and neither predicts whether you will be hired.
  • Not an auto-apply bot. It never submits an application, and it does not send email.
  • Not a from-scratch résumé builder, and there is no browser autofill extension.
  • Not free beyond the job listings. The workspace is a subscription with no trial.
  • These checks narrow the failure; they do not remove your review. They cannot tell whether a true sentence is well judged, and they cannot catch an invented claim that quotes a real sentence and contains no digits. Read the diffs.

Questions

Do I need an account to see the jobs?

No. The whole catalogue is browsable at /jobs without signing in, and the company directory at /jobs/companies.

Does SchoolWhool apply to jobs for me?

No. You apply on each employer's own site with the materials you reviewed. SchoolWhool is not the employer and never receives your application.

Is the match score an ATS score?

No. It is SchoolWhool's own assessment of how a posting lines up with your profile. No third-party tool can read an employer's applicant tracking system.

How many AI reviews are included?

A fixed monthly allowance, shown on the pricing page. A review that fails on the provider's side is given back and does not count.
