How to tailor your résumé for AI jobs without adding experience
AI hiring teams need evidence that you can reason about data, models and systems. Tailoring should surface the most relevant proof you already have, not paste tools from the posting into your skills list.

Separate the work the person will do from generic company copy.
Find repeated requirements
Group languages, data skills, modelling, evaluation and production responsibilities.
Attach evidence
For each important item, name a real project or role where you used it.
Rewrite for clarity
Lead with the action and decision, then the tool and observed result.
Leave honest gaps
Do not add a framework or ownership claim because it appears in the posting.

Use AI to reorganize and clarify facts you supplied, never to manufacture experience, qualifications or results. Read every proposed sentence against the source résumé before you use it.
Keep the claim in proportion
- A keyword match or AI fit assessment is guidance, not an employer ATS score or a prediction of being hired.
- Course and tool availability is described as it exists today; planned material is labelled rather than presented as published.
- Job applications happen on the employer's site, under your control.

Should I add every keyword from an AI job description?
No. Include a skill only when it truthfully describes your evidence. Relevance matters, but unsupported keywords create interview risk.
How long should tailoring take?
Prioritize serious roles. A focused requirement-to-evidence pass is more valuable than changing synonyms across hundreds of applications.
